In this essay, I will argue that Schopenhauers metaphysics inescapably leads to pessimism, since even though a temporary optimism may be found through the escape from the will via asceticism or aesthetics, the end result is still ultimately a free-hearted of nonhingness. This renders life purposeless and hence meaningless, which is profoundly and drearily pessimistic. I will argue that his metaphysics is based on a mistaken premise that all instinctive springs from lack or need and I hope to demonstrate that, even if we tolerate that willing is the inner content and shopping center of life, that it is not champion positive nevertheless can be creative and the solution, not the cause, of suffering. Secondly, I will argue that his partial optimism does not go far enough and is ill-explained; such release, as is offered, coming from its charter accord seems inconsistent with the notion of the blind, striving and as simple-minded puts it, evil will which is suppose d to supersede all else.
I will conclude with an examination of Youngs antedate that Schopenhauers metaphysics is not pessimistic and my own assertion that theme I must concede with Young, that certain keynotes for example, the universality of humanness point towards something positive, Schopenhauers thesis falls short of sleep together, or any meaningful transcendence which for me, would be the coercive optimism. In the World as Will and Representation, S chopenhauer argues that what drives all life! , what constitutes the very heart and soul of life, is will. This will is a blind irresistible inspire without knowledge. The will transformed through the prism of the world becomes the fragmental principium individuationis. Thus what we see is merely the representation of the will. This two aggregate theory of life parallels Platos theory of Ideas and Forms and the Buddhist bankers bill of reality and the Veil...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: OrderCustomPaper.com
